The Tipper’s 10" diameter weight sensitive feeding tray tips under the weight of a grey squirrel, but can hold the weight of up to four cardinals (about 8 oz.). The large tray gives ground feeders and songbirds a flat perching surface that also collects fallen seed. It also serves as a platform that allows multiple birds to feed simultaneously from the four seed ports.  The heavy metal cap fits snugly on the tube to prevent squirrels from lifting it to reach the seed.

The 4-3/4" x 21" clear feeder tube makes the seed visible to the birds, a proven advantage. Made of UV Stabilized Polycarbonate, it ensures long lasting durability without yellowing. Its length and girth are designed to prevent squirrels from reaching the seed ports.

A Frame Cardinal Birdhouse

There is a hand-painted Cardinal sitting on a branch near the entrance and the rest of the house has a worn and rustic appearance. Entrance hole measures 1 1/8 inch.

Providing Water for Birds

Water is an essential part in any bird garden. Most birds need to drink several times a day. Birds need fresh water for drinking and bathing (for feather maintenance). The easiest way to accomplish this is by providing a bird bath or a garden pond. When buying a bird bath keep the following in mind:

* Should have gradual slope
* It should not be slippery
* Be no more than 3 inches deep (small birds don't like water deeper than this).

Bird baths can placed in a variety of locations, but the best spot to place one is near your bird feeder so the birds see it as they come and go.
